CompletedWe are planning to rebuild FormBuilder. What are your thoughts, suggestions, criticisms, comments?

Have a list a functions you can choose from with a definition, like Excel. Also like Excel, choose a function and select the element you want to reference and have it autofill the column name. Because we all know, missing or adding one letter in the JavaScript can throw off an entire form.
Also be able to view the parent and subform side by side when building the form. So you can easily reference between the two when trying to pull data.

I'd like to have some way to see other forms when I'm working on a form. For example, I'm in a sub form and like to reference a field on the parent form but can't remember the column name. Now I have to leave the form, open the parent form, find the column name, jot it down, go back to the sub form.
A navigator, could be something simple like a tree view, that can be accessed while working on a form would come in handy.

it would be absolutely wonderful if we could have the ability to step - code or to debug when needed. Often enough, big problems come from small mistakes. The previous idea would make it much easier for new users to learn more about how to build their forms and what options they have, but having a debug/trace ability would make it possible to build more complicated forms with less time.

When referencing or building multiple forms using parent child side by side I just open 2, 3 or 4 iformbuilder windows or in separate tabs. I bought 2- 34" Dell curved monitors which is like have 4 monitors, the extra landscape is really nice but it is a pretty expensive option.
The editor really does not need that feature though. I am trying out the beta version of the new builder and it is pretty spectacular. The new option list navigator is a bit confusing and the columns in teh table views are not sorting ascending or descending yet, but it is a major improvement over the previous version and noticeably faster.
