What is Data Upload?
The Data Upload service allows users to populate data tables, update records, assign records, and more by uploading data via a CSV formatted file.
Advanced Screen Overview
Within the Data Upload interface, users can send emails, post-process records (including record assignment), delete an existing table, and more. These actions can be done on the Advanced Settings when creating new records or updating existing records. Below we'll give you a quick overview of the Advanced Settings screen and what each action does.
Run Post Processing
Choosing the Run Post Processing option will send the uploaded data to your endpoints, assign records to your users (if you've chosen to assign records), and send emails to users.
Send email upon upload completion
When uploading data via a CSV file with our Data Upload service, we offer the ability to send a status email to a user or users of your choosing.
Delete existing records in the table
When creating new records via a CSV file with our Data Upload service, we offer the ability to delete the data that is currently in the data table.
PLEASE NOTE: You will not see this option if you are updating existing records.
Store file on server
When uploading data via a CSV file with our Data Upload service, we offer the ability to store that file in order for it to be accessed at a later time by either a Server Admin, Data Upload Server Admin, or Data Upload Admin.
