How do I prevent sync if the network connection is poor?
With the release the iOS 8.31 and Android 8.5 app updates, admins now have the ability to check network latency before the app starts its sync process. To enable this feature, please follow the instructions below.
STEP 1. From the admin portal, hover over the Company tab and click Company Info.
STEP 2. Scroll down to the Client Customization section and click Edit Company Info.
STEP 3. Navigate to the Sync Threshold in Seconds field. The default is set to -1, which is an unlimited wait.
STEP 4. In seconds, adjust the Sync Threshold.
PLEASE NOTE: Once this threshold is applied the sync will not proceed if the threshold check comes with times higher than the threshold. A screen will pop up notifying the user about the threshold.
STEP 5. The user must now enable the Sync Threshold on the device. The instructions below will show you how to enable on both the iOS and Android devices.
