Zerion Data Collector
What is a Zerion Data Collector user?
A Data Collector user has permission to simply collect data on forms which are assigned to them by an admin. This permission is given to the user through a Zerion Policy, which will be covered below.
How do I create a Data Collector user?
There are three steps to create a user with the ability to collect data.
To create a Data Collector user, please follow the instructions below.
Create a new user
From inside the Zerion Console, select Identity Access Management.
From the left-hand menu, click Users.
Fill out all the user fields and click Create.
After the user is created, you will be prompted to download the Access Recovery Code for that user. Click Download.
PLEASE NOTE: This code is the ONLY way to login for the user if they forget their password it and can not be retrieved later. Keep Access Recovery Code somewhere very safe.
Add user to the data collector policy
You'll now want to add the user to the existing data collector policy.
From the left-hand menu, select Policies.
Select the Basic Data Collector policy.
Select the user you want to add to the policy and click Add.
Assign form(s) to users
You can now assign forms to the users.
Navigate back to the Zerion Console by clicking the Zerion icon in the upper left-hand corner.
Select Data Collector.
Hover over the Forms tab and select Assignment.
Highlight the form you want to allow access to and click Assign.
Give the user Collect and/or View rights. With collect rights, the user will only be able to collect data via the device. View rights allow the user to view data from the Admin Portal (under the Data tab).
Scroll down and select Update.
