How do I assign records from the admin portal?
To assign records from the admin portal, please follow the instructions below.
PLEASE NOTE: In order to assign records from the admin portal, you must be a Company Admin with view rights to the form from which you are assigning records.
STEP 1. From the Data tab, click the Page ID of the form which contains the records you'll be assigning.
STEP 2. Click on the record or records you wish to assign and click Assigned Selected.
STEP 3. Choose the user you'd like to assign the record(s) to and click Assign.
STEP 4. You'll see the record(s) are now assigned to the user.
PLEASE NOTE: Once the user has downloaded the records to the device, the username will no longer appear. Records can be unassigned until downloaded to the device by the user.
How do I assign records to other users from the device?
The AssignTo element will allow your users to choose from a drop-down menu of other users with collect rights to the form and assign a record directly from the device.
To add an AssignTo element to your form, please follow the instructions below.
STEP 1. From inside the form builder, click the AssignTo button from the left-hand menu. You'll see it populate the device view.
STEP 2. On the right-hand side, you'll see the element properties. Enter the name of your element.
Note that if you check the Based on Label option, it will create a data column based on the Label on the element.
STEP 3. Click Save.
PLEASE NOTE: Only users with Collect Rights to the form will show in the drop-down menu.
STEP 4. Test it out on your device.
