form builder elements
With the Image Label widget, you can add static images within your form. To add an image to your form, please follow the instructions below.
The examples below show how to leverage Box or Dropbox integration for hosting, but you can also use any other public resources.
Confirm that your Dropbox or Box account is linked to your iForm account.
From inside the form builder, click the Image Label button from the left-hand menu. You'll see it populate the device view.
On the right-hand side, you'll see the element properties. Enter the name of your element (A), and if you like, a description of what information should be entered in the element when collecting (B).
Note that if you check the Based on Label option, it will create a data column based on the Label on the element.
In from Dropbox (or Box, if you prefer) create a new folder (A) and provide a name (B).
Save the image you want to use to your Dropbox account. Two things to note:
- The image file name must match the data column name of your Image Label element exactly.
- The image file must be saved as a png. Any other file type will cause this to fail.
Back inside the form builder, click the Form Properties button.
In the Label Icons URL enter the following; dropbox://formimages (A) and click Save changes (B).
This is the URL scheme that must be used.
For Box accounts, the URL scheme would be box://iformpics and for other publicly hosted images, it would be similar to https://myserver/iformpics.
Test the functionality on your device.
