How do I create a new form?
With our latest form builder, building a form is easier than ever. The instructions below will take through building the most basic of forms to help get you started.
STEP 1. From the Admin Portal, hover of the Forms tab and select Form Builder.
STEP 2. Click the Forms icon.
STEP 3. Click + Create Form.
STEP 4. Enter your form name in the Form Label field, along with a Table Name.
PLEASE NOTE: The Table Name will automatically be populated based on the form label unless the Based on Label box is unchecked.
Optionally, you can add a Description of the form for your users as well as a Form Icon.
STEP 5. Select Create.
Your form is now created. Let's quickly walk through how to add some elements to your form.
STEP 6. On the left-hand side is a list of the element types you can add to your form. Simply click on the element you wish to add to the form and it will be added.
STEP 7. On the right-hand side, you'll now see the element properties. Enter the name of your element, and if you like, a description of what information should be entered in the element when collecting.
PLEASE NOTE: Clicking the "Based on Label" checkbox will automatically populate the data column name using the label's criteria.
STEP 8. Scroll down the right-hand menu to the Element Properties tab.
This will allow you to change the data type, add encryption, disable an element you no longer need (without losing the previously collected data), and make the element required (the user would not be able to submit the record unless data is entered into this element).
STEP 9. Click Save.
