In this example, we'll be transforming data by removing all the Meta Data included with an iFormBuilder record.
STEP 1. Load the Dataflow that contains the RecordSet you wish to transform. In this example, it is called Transforming_iFB_Raw_Data.
STEP 2. Add a new RecordSet to the Dataflow.
STEP 3. Name the RecordSet iform_transformation (A) and click Save (B).
STEP 4. Highlight Transforming_iFB_Raw_Data (A), click Actions (B) and select RecordSet Action (C).
STEP 5. Select iform_transformation from the drop-down menu (A) and click Save (B).
The RecordSets are now linked.
STEP 6. Highlight theTransforming_iFB_Raw_Data RecordSet (A) and click the View Data Icon in the record (B).
STEP 7. Highlight and copy the JSON data (A) and click Close (B).
STEP 8. Highlight the iform_transformation recordset (A), click Data Refinery (B) and select New Filter (C).
STEP 9. Click the Sample Data tab (A) and in the Preview Input Data field, paste in the JSON data (B).
STEP 10. Click the Config tab (A) and scroll down to the Transform Return section (B).
STEP 11. Click Select All to clear the selected fields.
STEP 12. Select the fields you wish to show in the transformation recordset.
STEP 13. Click on the Preview tab (A) and click Run Preview (B). This will give you a preview of what the data will look like after transformation. Click Submit (C).
STEP 14. Highlight theTransforming_iFB_Raw_Data RecordSet (A), click RecordSet (B) and select Manually Rerun Data (C).
STEP 15. Choose All in both drop-downs (A) and click Rerun (B). You'll see the data has been passed from the original RecordSet to the transformation recordset.
STEP 16. Click the view record icon (A) and you'll see only the fields you selected in the transformed recordset (B).
