What is the 2x username feature?
The 2x username feature allows companies with a dedicated database to have twice as many usernames as they do user licenses. This comes in handy for companies that have users that need to manage data, build forms, or perform other administrative tasks but don't need to collect data on a device.
For example, if you have 100 user licenses you will be allowed to create 200 unique usernames. However, only 100 of those usernames will be allowed to have active device licenses. Once the 101st user tries to login into a device, that user will receive the following error:
How do I enable the 2x username feature?
PLEASE NOTE: If you are using the User-based licensing, this feature is only available if you have between 100 users and 10,000 users. Those with less than 100 or more than 10,000 will not have access to this feature.
If you are using Device-based licensing, this feature is available if you have 100 users or more.
