Zerion Documents Common Questions
Table of Contents
What are Zerion Documents?
Zerion has partnered with WebMerge to give users the ability to streamline and automate document creation through the Zerion Web Service, Documents. Documents allow for Fillable PDFs, Microsoft Office templates, or "build your own" document templates to be merged with data from one or more sources automatically.

What is ZIM?
ZIM, or Zerion Identity Management, is a web service that helps securely control access to Zerion resources for you and your users. ZIM controls who can use your Zerion resources (authentication) and what resources they can use and in what ways (authorization).
To enable access to Documents, a User or User Group must be given the appropriate permission via Identity+Access Management (ZIM).

How do I grant access to Documents?
There is only one action pertaining to Documents, which is called "Build Document Templates". As a ZIM administrator, you will be able to allow or deny access to the Document Builder. Due to the simplicity of the policy set for Documents, a default policy is included in all companies called "Document Builder". Please follow the steps below to grant users access to Documents.
From the Zerion Console, choose Identity Access Management.
From the left-hand menu, click Policies.
Search for the Document Builder policy and select it.
On the following screen, you can add users individually by clicking on the Users tab or add a group of users by clicking the Groups tab.
In this example, we'll be adding a Group of users to the Document Builder policy.
From the Groups tab, click the ADD icon.
Search for the Group you want to add to the policy and select it.
Once selected, click the ADD icon.
That's it! Any users directly assigned the policy or any users belonging to a user group assigned to the policy will be able to set up Document templates and customize Deliveries.
