What are Zerion Documents?
Zerion Documents allows you to easily populate a document with the data you've collected, and automatically send it to a variety of locations. The data you collect via iFormBuilder, whether from one form or many, can be merged into multiple documents.
Zerion Documents provides you with customizable options for any type of document. You can choose from PDFs, WordDocs, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations or create your own using Zerion Document’s simple document builder.
How do I build my own Zerion Document?
To build your own Document, please follow the instructions below.
From the Zerion Console, select Documents.
From inside the Documents interface, select New Document.
Name you Document and click Next.
You'll be able to choose from three different document types:
- Build Your Own
- Fillable PDF
- Office Document
For the purposes of this how-to, make sure Build Your Own is highlighted and click Create Document.
This will load the HTML editor where you can add Tables, Text, Images and more. In this example, we'll be showing you how to add a Table to your document.
Click the Table icon.
Enter in your Table Properties and click OK.
Create the fields in your table.
You can enter custom fields called Merge Fields. Merge Fields allow you to map data from Dataflows into your Document.
Click the Merge Field button.
Name your Merge Field and select Insert Field.
You'll see it builds the format that is expected for a Merge Field. You can do this for the other fields you wish to merge.
Click Save and Next.
Since we named our Document earlier, you can now choose the type of Output you'd like your Document to be.
- MS Word
- MS Excel
Choose the page size and orientation.
For the file name, you can change the structure by appending the Document name with a field.
Choose the Timezone you want the Document to reflect.
Choose the status of the Document.
- Active: This should be used when the Document has been developed, tested and ready to roll out.
- Test Mode: Should be used during the development and testing of the Document. This will not count against your Document count and will include a watermark notating the Test Mode.
- Inactive: This should be used you don't want the Document to be live.
